The lawsuit comes after the attorney general’s office filed complaints against Facebook, Google, Twitter and Apple in November, alleging that the companies encouraged consumers to buy advertising for VR headsets in misleading ways.
The suit alleges that Google and Facebook have falsely claimed that their advertising services are specifically designed for virtual reality. The complaint also alleges that Google and Facebook engaged in deceptive practices by stating that their services were more effective than other advertising techniques for VR.
In fact, the complaint contends, the companies’ services often were much less effective.
“We are taking them to task and we will hold them accountable,” Eric Schneiderman, the attorney general, said in a statement.Q:

A background Service runs in its own process. You can't get data out of it (except via startService()).
However, you could use AlarmManager to make the background service trigger a work on the UI thread, for example by sending a PendingIntent that will start the activity in response to the notification.
